CPPL100 Reflection: "Privilege Walk"

This semester, my class participated in a "Privilege Walk." This is an activity where, upon hearing a statement about your personal life, you take a step forward or a step back. A step forward represents a positive aspect, and a step backwards represents something negative. At the end of the activity, you get to compare your position with your classmates. I found this activity to be incredibly eye-opening and powerful.

Semester One Reflection: "Expectation vs. Reality"

The Fall 2020 Semester was a challenging, unprecedented experience due to the COVID-19 pandemic; it was also my first ever Semester in college. This reflection includes my thoughts on the Semester, the Public Leadership program, and on college as a whole.

PLCY201 Policy Brief: "Policing in America"

Being one of the most hotly-debated subjects in the United States today, I was very excited to have the opportunity to write a position paper on the issue of policing. I feel that this policy brief was one of the most successful papers I have ever written in my educational career, in part because of how strongly I feel about the issue.

PLCY201 Final Paper: John McCain Leadership Analysis

As my final assignment in PLCY201, I chose to analyze a leader who I personally admire and strive to be like. I discuss John McCain's servanthood, authenticity, selflessness, and self-awareness throughout his life, from his service in the military to his tenure as senator.

Myself as a Leader Today

For my final exam for CPPL100, I discussed the issue of political polarization, a leader who I myself personally look up to, and how I plan on combating this issue as a leader myself.

Benjamin Franklin Creative Assignment

For my practicum course BMGT289i "Why Good Managers Make Bad Decisions," I wrote a creative piece about a fictional business leader that resembles the success of Benjamin Franklin in his career as a colonial businessman as outlined in "Benjamin Franklin: America's Original Entrepreneur."
